About the Instructor:

john macy manual therapy education

John Macy PT, PRC has taught psycho-physical reeducation through the use of the Alexander Technique since 1982 and after completing his degree in Physical Therapy in 1984 began to combine this with his practice in manual therapy with patients. His training has included a variety of manual techniques including CranioSacral therapy, Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy, and Postural Restoration. He has also studied movement arts such as yoga, tai chi, tae-kwon-do, modern dance and pilates. Using this information with a variety of patients over the past three decades he has worked to find the most effective ways to restore movement ability to people who cannot move as they desire. The result of this is a unique perspective on how to think, touch and teach people. This perspective informs the classes he is now teaching to others who wish to expand their ability to make a positive difference in their lives and the lives of others.
